I have more than 20 years of writing experience that began with my training in the 1980s at Madison Avenue advertising agencies like Ogilvy & Mather, BBDO and Della Femina, Travisano and Partners.
Since then, I’ve worked in Dallas with top-tier agencies and firms like t:m, WFAA-TV and a number of Omnicom agencies, including Tribal Interactive. I have received a variety of awards for my work that include Clios, Andys, Addys, New York Festivals, and an Emmy.
In addition to advertising, I have also had a play published and workshopped in LA at the Tamarind Theatre. I co-wrote and directed a piece for veteran “Saturday Night Live” performer Melanie Hutsell, which debuted at the HBO Workspace in LA.
I have degrees in English and journalism from Southern Methodist University. I held a writer’s residency at the Vermont Studio Center, Johnson, Vermont, and earned credit toward a master’s degree in fiction at Bennington College, Vermont.
